Shared LivingShared Living is like Adult Foster Care. It's the least restrictive, most cost-effective, residential option available to an adult with intellectual disabilities that needs a little bit more supervision and support than having a staff come into the home to work hourly. Shared Living is provided by a trained and qualified provider in the providers home. The provider can be the parent of an adult child or someone in the community that wants to make a difference in someone's life while also working from home. Creative Options does a great job with finding the right fit for both the individual and the provider and our placements usually last for many years as folks become long term members of the family.

Home SupportHome Support services are provided by our trained staff (Direct Support Professionals or DSP's) in the individuals home. These supports will enable the individual to work on skill building with the ultimate goal of becoming more independent. These supports are flexible and our goal is to provide the adequate amount of support needed while promoting and encouraging the maximum level of independence. There may be limits on the amount of staff support
available, depending on several factors. |
Community SupportCommunity Support is similar to what used to be referred to as Day Program. At Creative Options, we are strictly community-based rather than center-based. Our goal is community integration and to assist adults with intellectual disabilities in meeting their goals while having fun out and about out in their communities. We encourage people to volunteer, participate in Special Olympics, if interested, and to get involved and make a difference. More importantly, it's our job to help the people we support build meaningful and lasting relationships that will be there long after we are gone.
